Keynote Lecture with Saskia Scheltjens: “The Art of Information and Data in Museums”
We are happy to announce that Saskia Scheltjens, Head of the Department of Research Services of the Rijksmuseum and Chief Librarian of the Rijksmuseum Research Library, holds the Belvedere/UWK Summer Institute 2023 keynote lecture on September 14, 2023 at the Blickle Kino at Belvedere 21 in Vienna. Scheltjens’ talk offers insights into how to deal with cultural data in a post-digital era and present strategies for museums going beyond the digital.

The rest of the Belvedere/UWK Summer Institute program is for registered participants only, the deadline for applications has passed.

However, the Certificate Program “Digital Collections Management” offered by the Centre for Image Science at the University of Continuing Education Krems starting on 10-09-2023 has many thematic overlaps with this year’s Belvedere/UWK Summer Institute. For more information, please visit www.donau-uni.ac.at/digiwesen.

In addition, the Centre for Cultures and Technologies of Collecting of the same department is starting the Master’s programme “Collection Studies and Management” again in the winter term 2023/2024. Information on content and registration can be found at www.donau-uni.ac.at/collectionstudies.
